THE LIFE CHANGING LOCATION - COFFEE BAY TRANSKEI
In South African Travel, Car Rental South Africa, Tourist Attraction, Car Hire South Africa by Sergio / September 05, 2015

The Transkei section of the Wild Coast is rural South Africa at its best and the roads to the coast lead the visitor through the Xhosa heartland, a stunning landscape of rolling green hills dotted with thatched rondavels, offering interesting glimpses into a culture far removed from the stresses of modern life.

It’s famous for fishing, endless hiking trails, abseiling and surfing.
On the hills of Transkei – you will still find herds of cattle sleeping, relaxing and chewing the cud. They are easily approachable and make great photographic subjects.
Coffee Bay is one of only two former Transkei towns to be serviced by a tarred road (the other being Port St Johns).
Three small rivers, the Nenga (river of the whale), Bomvu (red) and Maphuzi (place of pumpkins) reach the sea in the area of Coffee Bay.
