The colourful Carnival parade begins at 7:00 pm and will start with an explosion of fireworks. Theparade will introduce you to exciting giant floats, wacky puppets and special acts, each carefully built, decorated and choreographed to represent the ELEMENTAL theme. The parade will last approximately for two hours and the imposing event will finally end with an awesome open air after- party for those of you, who can’t stop to celebrate.

If you want to go there by car, you should be in time, because the streets will be closed at 6:00 pm for final preparations. The Cape Quarter Lifestyle Village has 425 available parking places on a first come first serve basis with a flat fee of R5 all day on 14 March until 8:00 pm. After that it reverts to a parking fee of R10 per hour. After 12:00 pm Saturday it again reverts to the flat rate of R5 for Sunday until 8:00 pm.
