Easter long weekend.
Easter long weekend.

What to do this Easter:
Rent a nice full size family car from Around About Cars for less that R 1500 and go to the east coast side of Cape Town.

The Garden Route is the most scenic regions in the country and jam packed with so much to do and see – and at the same experience the tranquillity of the region – after all – it is a holiday. This holiday doesn’t have to break the bank.

Travel to Sedgefield and check in at Myoli Lodge or Afrovibe Adventure Lodge – 60metres from the beach – anything closer you need a towel.

They have lots of adventure from kite surfing, stand up paddling, wakeboarding or paragliding. This is a stop you have to do in the Garden Route.

Day 2: Have an early breakfast and head over the mountain for a day trip to Oudsthoorn for a visit to the Cango Caves and of course to see the world’s largest flightless bird – THE OSTRICH. You can choose to head back to Sedgefield for supper at the beach cabanas or settle for some ostrich meat in Oudsthoorn.

Day 3: The early bird catches the fattest worm – head to Plettenberg Bay which is 57kms away – on the way you can stop at the Knysna Waterfront and Quays for some gifts and curios. In Plettenberg Bay you can enjoy the elephant sanctuary or walk with the wild cats. Plettenberg Bay is spoilt for choice with lovely restaurants and table settings.
