SUN STRUCK OR MOONSTRUCK?
In South African Travel, Car Rental South Africa, Tourist Attraction, Car Hire Cape Town, Car Hire South Africa, Local Events by Sergio / February 17, 2015Presented by Discovery in association with 567 Cape Talk, the annual Moonstruck summer beach concert is held in support of the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI), which strives to protect those out at sea. It’s a nice thing to see, while you share your solidarity for this vital lifesaving organization by purchasing glow sticks from the volunteers’ stalls. The proceeds of the sales will be donated to the sea rescue organization.
On Saturday the 14th of February it was also Valentine’s Day that made the event even more special. We arrived at around 7pm by walking up the hill to Clifton #4 from Camps Bay, what took us about ten minutes. If you don’t have a car it’s an easy way because there were only a few parking spots left and the place was really crowded. If you prefer to go by car, you can easily get one from Around About Cars, just make sure you get there at about 4.30pm, before the actual event starts. The official start was at about 6pm, so you will have enough time to find your perfect spot, settle your dinner and get ready for partying!
What we think:
Oh my god you have to go there! We totally enjoyed ourselves, got along with great people, danced next to the ocean, had some awesome food, made some really cool pictures and literally celebrated life.
Notice: The entry is for free, you better bring cash and there is, officially, no alcohol allowed on the beach!
Next year we want to read YOUR reviews!
